LAVALE — Lynn Day has been promoted to operations manager at The Dryclean and Shirt Salon in LaVale.
“As the operations manager of the LaVale Plaza location, Lynn Day is the oil that keeps the wheel turning,” said owner Michael McKay. “Further, he has been a key contributor in the success of our business. Lynn has increased our quality of our product over the past year and he is a real chemist when it comes to spot removal.”
Day started working in the dry cleaning industry in 1981 at Highway Cleaners in Huntington, Pa. President and owner of Highway Cleaners, Joe Dopirak taught Day everything he learned in his 50 years of experience within the dry cleaning industry. Additionally, Day has 13 years of experience in sales, selling dry cleaning equipment and supplies for Super Laundry, USA Cleans and Ideal Distributors.
Day is a Vietnam War veteran, serving three years. He and his wife, Lynne, live in Pennsylvania. His only son, Kevin, lives in Arizona.
