They pay for it and boil it, but it’s still not drinkable

To the Editor:

Westernport residents are told to boil their water “indefinitely,” yet the mayor has said nothing about reducing the cost of our water bills.

Westernport residents pay for water they cannot use. We then are forced to spend more money on purchasing bottled water, for our health and well-being. It seems unfair that residents are paying twice for water.

We were told we can boil our water for one minute, however has anyone noticed the film left on the pan after doing so? Our water is not drinkable, therefore I respectfully request a reduced water bill until we residents can actually drink and use our water.

If you agree with me, please contact the mayor and city council.
