J. Matthew Gilmore newest partner at law firm

CUMBERLAND — J. Matthew Gilmore has become the newest partner at Geppert, McMullen, Paye & Getty.

The law firm was founded in 1950 as Gunter & Geppert, and has been providing legal representation to the Western Maryland area since its inception.

Gilmore, a Cumberland native, joined Geppert, McMullen, Paye & Getty two years ago. Prior to that, Gilmore was in private practice in Frederick and served as a consultant for both Cingular Wireless and Verizon Wireless in the Baltimore/Washington market.

Gilmore’s primary areas of concentrations are medical malpractice defense, general civil litigation and zoning and land use law.



Local life coach opens new online store

Cristee Jo “CJ” Cangianelli, owner/life coach of Thrive: A Modern Approach to Personal Improvement, recently opened an online life coaching store at www.1onlinelifecoach.com.

The site offers life coaching sessions.

Cangianelli’s clients range from teen-agers experiencing that difficult transition into adulthood to working professionals who want to brainstorm better ways to manage time and responsibilities to those who have lost a loved one and are having trouble feeling joyful at this time of the year. Clients need only a computer and an e-mail account. Those with a Facebook or MySpace account can chat instantly with Cangianelli.

Cangianelli has been coaching local residents for over two years now. She is the self-help columnist for Allegany Magazine and is a motivational speaker. She is available to speak to schools, groups or businesses and will bring her life improvement tips to private parties. She conducts free workshops the first Wednesday of each month at South Cumberland Library at 6:30 p.m.



Pilgrim’s Pride selects Partner of the Month

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Debra “Deb” Hose has been selected as the November Partner of the Month for the Pilgrim’s Pride Moorefield fresh plant.

Hose works in the accounting department on day shift and has worked for the company for 23 years.

The Partner of the Month is a program that has been implemented to recognize employees for their outstanding merit and work ethic. Employees in the program have exhibited outstanding work characteristics in the categories of attendance, teamwork, attitude and job performance.
