ACTION:

• Authorized the transfer of the water system in Cresaptown to county government from the Cresaptown Civic Improvement Association effective Jan. 1. Paul Kahl, deputy director of the Department of Public Works, said rates will not increase for at least two years unless the city of Cumberland, from which the water is purchased, raises its rates.

• Amended the zoning map for the Miller Bottom Industrial Complex, located about one mile north of Midland along state Route 36 based on a change in the character of the neighborhood. The 104-acre parcel, owned by Braddock Construction, will become primarily industrial with one part conservation and one part residential effective in 10 days.

NEXT MEETING: Public hearing on transportation needs and federal funding for Allegany County Transit Monday at 1 p.m., County Office Complex, Kelly Road. Public work session at 9 a.m. Dec. 30, public meeting at 11 a.m.
