Red Rock Enterprises, a regional forest services company based in Friendsville, recently provided a Christmas bonus to two forestry students at Allegany College of Maryland. Red Rock owner Phil Frantz has been highly supportive of forestry education at the college through a company-supported scholarship for forest technology students. Frantz also works with the program’s timber-harvesting class to market saw logs harvested during the course and takes students on a tour of his company’s facility.
