The Pleasant View Baptist Church, south of Oakland on U.S. Route 219, will present its Christmas puppet show Dec. 11 through 13 and Dec. 18 through 20. “Code Red,” an E.R. Christmas is a free show but reservations are required online at www.pleasantviewbc.org or by calling (301) 334-8515. Friday show times are 7 p.m. Saturday shows are 2, 4 and 6 p.m. Sunday shows are 4 and 6 p.m. This year’s presentation will feature a colorful cast of 40 different Jim Henson-style puppets with catchy songs, special lighting and effects, a multilevel 40-foot stage and the message of Christmas.
