Frostburg State University cheerleading Captain Kelly Gauvin, left, and 9-year-old Emily Thomas rehearse a dance number Sunday afternoon during the annual FSU Cheer and Dance Clinic in the auxiliary gymnasium at the Frostburg campus. Students in grades one through eight learn the fundamentals of cheer, dance and stunts. The youngsters will cheer with the university’s cheerleaders during the first home men’s basketball Saturday at 3 p.m., where they will also perform a cheer and dance routine during halftime.
