ACTION:

• Approved a five-month contract extension with Cas Taylor and Alexander & Cleaver and Associates through April 30. Taylor spearheads lobbying efforts in Annapolis on behalf of Allegany County government.

• Approved a 30-year annual tax abatement of $11,400 to The Hampstead Companies, which aims to renovate William Booth Tower complex on Somerville Avenue. Work is expected to begin in January.

• Recognized the Historic Highlands Association of REALTORS for the organization’s 90th anniversary.
