Church women present concert

PIEDMONT, W.Va. — The Presbyterian Women of Piedmont Presbyterian Church will sponsor its annual Christmas concert Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at the church. Performers will include Laura Groves, Pat Knott, Darnell Allen, Fred Engle, Canon and Cole Fazenbaker, Norman Fitzgerald, Jean Marple, RaeAnn Smith, Bob Stephens and Karen and Dean Ullery.

Refreshments and fellowship will follow the concert.

A freewill offering will be accepted to benefit Warm the Children and Toys for Joy.

Event benefits scholarship fund

FARMINGTON, Pa. — An event to raise money for the Timothy Umbel Scholarship Fund will be held today at 7 p.m. at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, U.S. Route 40.

The benefit in the Sundial Ski Lodge will feature entertainment by a disc jockey and an auction, including items provided by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins, Under Armour and 84 Lumber. Food and drinks will be available. All proceeds will go into the fund, which provides scholarships to eligible students at Northern Garrett High School each year.
