HYNDMAN, Pa. — Anna “Betty” Elizabeth Kirchner, 88, of Hyndman, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Pennknoll Village.
Born Oct. 3, 1921, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Alzene (Cough-enour) Horner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. “Rick” Kirchner in 2003; and a brother, Robert L. Horner.
She is survived by a son, Calvin E. Kirchner and wife Constance (Hyde) of Buffalo Mills; brothers, David Albert Horner and wife Ann, Richard N. Horner and wife Faith, all of Hyndman; sisters, Phyllis Metz of Wichita, Kan., Jane Moore and husband Lewis of Boalsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty retired from the Celanese after 44 years of service. She also worked at Horners Market in Hyndman for many years. She was a life member of the First United Methodist Church in Hyndman.
There will be no viewing.
A graveside service will be held at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman, on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at noon with the Rev. Ryan Viands officiating.
