Showcase of chefs

Proprietor of the Baltimore Street Grill Jessica Holland prepares samples of her dishes Sunday evening for Terry Harvey and Dianna Miller, both from Cumberland, during the twelfth annual Signature Chefs Auction at the Cumberland Country Club to benefit the March of Dimes. The culinary extravaganza with 10 chefs from area businesses preparing special dishes included an auction, all to help women have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. In addition to Holland, chefs participating in the event included: Jennifer Watson from Jennifer’s Desserts, Dee Truitt from Kramers Deli, Jaye Miller from the Oxford House, Sarah Carman from Sarah Bella Catering, Terry Michels from the Queen City Creamery and Deli, Larry Roby from Rent-A-Chef, Joshua Bradburn from the Cumberland Country Club, Jennifer Scarborough and Greg Carter from Frostburg State University. The March of Dimes also is continuing their annual Festival of Trees through December 6 at the Country Club Mall in LaVale with decorated trees on display.
