It’s time to bury political correctness with soldiers

I have felt for some time now that “political correctness” had been overdone. The most common buzz word for PC is diversity. The real tragedy of the Fort Hood shootings that the shooter’s strong anti-American bias was shoved under the rug as a politically correct expediency.

To add to this most egregious situation were the comments of the Army Chief of Staff, Gen. George Casey. Gen. Casey said: “As horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

Therefore, taking action against hostile members of the military because of their radical beliefs and/or ideologies is worse than the mass murders at Fort Hood. Isn’t it about time to bury political correctness and return to common sense?

Should not our national security have priority over PC nonsense? It appears our national leadership doesn’t!
