CUMBERLAND ­— Lois Ramona Fields, 62, of Cumberland, passed away on Nov. 19, 2009 at her residence.

Born April 16, 1937 in Green Spring, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Max W. and Daisy (Sherman) McDonald. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John F. Fields Jr.; one brother, Tom McDonald Sr.; and one sister, Patricia Hainzey.

Mrs. Fields was a homemaker and attended First Christian Church. Lois loved photography and going to church and shopping. Benny, her pet parrot of 32 years, passed away in September.

She is survived by two nieces, Shawnee Mace and Cindy Middleton; one nephew, Tom McDonald Jr.; a special friend, JoAnn; and several great nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be private at Forest Glen Cemetery in Green Spring.

In lieu of flowers the family graciously request their friends and relatives refrain from sending flowers. Those desiring to honor Lois's memory may make a contribution to Western Maryland Hospice Home Care, 900 Seton Drive, Cumberland, MD 21502.
