MIDLAND — Dorothy Arbutus Cutter, 76, of Railroad St., Midland, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born August 31, 1933 in Bluefield, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mae (Lawson) Pugh. Two daughters, Nancy Brinkman Michaels and Dorothy “Tina” Brinkman and one son, Terry Brinkman, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cutter was retired from the Allegany County Sheriffs Office, having been a Correctional Officer. She was a devoted and faithful member of First Assembly of God Church, Lonaconing.
She leaves behind three sons, James Brinkman and wife Sharon of West Virginia, Bo Brinkman of Westminster, Roy John Cutter of South Carolina; and one daughter, Vicki Clark and husband Mark of Garrett County. She is also survived by a brother, Frank Pugh of Baltimore; a sister, Alta Simpson of Virginia; and 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at First Assembly of God Church, Lonaconing, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Whitecotton and Pastor Georg officiating.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
Pallbearers will be James Brinkman, Bo Brinkman, Mark Clark, Andrew Clark, Jay Clark and Zachary Brinkman.
