ACCIDENT — Alice Ada Hershman, 98, of Cherry Hill Assisted Living and Oakland, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.
Born April 10, 1911 in Crellin, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Eva (Ellis) Ream. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hershman; and by a half-brother, Tom Ream.
Mrs. Hershman was a loving wife and mother. She had worked for Weber’s Florist for several years and had attended Pine Grove Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are two sons, Eddie Hershman and wife Lisa of Bedford, Pa. and Craig Hershman and wife Debbie of Oakland; one daughter, Romaine Ashby and husband Bob of Louisville, Ky.; one half-brother, Bill Ream of Swanton; half-sisters, Evelyn Ream of Swallow Falls, Naomi Fisher of Augusta, W.Va.; special cousins, Eloween Johnson and Delores Hayden both of Mountain Lake Park; eight grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 tp 9 p.m.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chester Fisher officiating.
Interment will follow in Terra Alta Cemetery.
