OAKLAND — Elaine Saltysiak-Brickett, 82, of Oakland, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home.

Born Oct. 14, 1927, in Crestwood, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William A. and Frances (Guidone) Bottino.

Mrs. Saltysiak-Brickett was a retired Professor of Speech Pathology. Elaine was a member of the Oakland Civic Club, she volunteered at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, started a speech pathology program, Baltimore County Board of Education and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Brickett, of Oakland; one son, William A. Saltysiak, of Oakland; one sister, Marie Petrone, of Rockville; and one granddaughter, Dr. Kathleen Anne Saltysiak.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Leonard J. Ruck Funeral Home, 5305 Harford Rd., Baltimore.

David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, is in charge of the arrangements.
