It seems that, over the years, the radical left has created a mentality in our country that speaks to what they call “political correctness.” You know, stewardesses are now “flight attendants;” waitresses are now “servers;” an act of terror is now a “man-made disaster.” The media and some Americans have bought into all of this, what I call, “ACLU Speak.” It may have seemed harmless at the time, but it has miraculously permeated our society. Why?
A U.S. soldier murders 14 Americans in cold blood, shouting out “Allahu akbar” as he commits his crime. As further facts are uncovered about his past associations with al-Qaida and others, why do the media ignore these facts, and refuse to call this an act of terrorism? And, why isn’t Nidal Malik Hasan referred to as a terrorist?
We are beginning to witness the harm that this kind of “ACLU Speak” has caused. We are now afraid of offending anyone, by calling them what they are! This needs to stop. The Fort Hood murders were not a “tragedy.” They were the result of a “terrorist attack,” no different from 9/11.
Nidal Malik Hasan, who was born in America, is a Muslim terrorist. His words as he took 14 precious American lives prove that. But, where are you, media? Why do you refer to him as a “gunman?” Is it “politically correct” or, do you subscribe to the leftist belief that people don’t kill people, guns do? The media is also quick to assign “accountability,” as it relates to our military, our CIA, our FBI. They are held accountable for their actions. But Muslims? They seem to be given a “pass.” Why?
We are constantly reminded that, “All Muslims are not radical, most are good people.” I want to believe that, but, look at the atrocities, the acts of terror, the attacks on innocent men, women and children which have occurred all over the world, in large numbers, all committed by radical Muslims. Why aren’t the non-radical Muslims taking responsibility for the atrocities committed in the name of their religion? Why aren’t they speaking out against these murderers and taking action against them? Why don’t they clean up their own house? They need to purge the radical clerics from their religion. Isn’t this what their Allah would expect from them? Does Allah want to be identified with these Islamic extremists?
As an American, I believe that we have seen enough. Enough of a media that ignores the truth, and employs “political correctness” in its place. Enough of a media joining the administration in apologizing for America. Enough of a media ignoring the existence of communists and radicals in our White House. Enough of a media, lying to “We, the People” about health care and other programs which will only serve to give this administration more power, which is their fundamental goal. President Obama declared during his campaign that he would “fundamentally change America.” With the invaluable and unethical assistance of the major media, he’s doing just that. Responsible journalism? I think not.
