All County chorus concert Wednesday

CUMBERLAND — Monika McCormick will conduct the All County Senior Chorus and Michelle Rafter will conduct the All County Junior Chorus on Wednesday in Fort Hill High School’s auditorium beginning at 7 p.m.

The free concert is the first in a series of festivals to be held during the school year.

McCormick teaches vocal music at Urbana High School in Frederick County. She will direct a 74-voice choir representing the county’s three public high schools.

Rafter is the director of choirs and theater arts at Williamsport High School and is the coordinator for Washington County’s vocal music activities. She will conduct a 96-six member junior chorus.



Student named to Keyser honor roll

KEYSER, W.Va. — Crescenda Beckwith, a junior at Keyser High School, was named to the 3.0 to 3.999 honor roll for the first grading period.

Clinic for children

CUMBERLAND — The Allegany County Health Department will hold an H1N1 vaccination clinic by appointment at its Willowbrook Office Complex on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for children 6 months to 35 months old.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling (301) 759-5055 beginning Wednesday at 9 a.m. until all available slots are filled.
