ECKHART — Charles Randall “Randy” Gordon, 45, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at home in Eckhart.

Born Feb. 10, 1964, he was the son of Colleen (Lance) Gordon and the late James H. Gordon. He also was preceded in death by a half-brother, Edward B. Gordon.

Randy attended Beall High School. He was a former employee of the Hudson Gas Station, LaVale, and was a mailman’s assistant in Garrett County at one time.

Randy is survived by a brother, James W. Gordon and fiancée Bobbi Jo, Frostburg; two sisters, Sandra Gordon, Frostburg, and Frances Footen and husband Dan, Hancock. He leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Among them are Nicole Gordon, Brian Boore, Amy Boore, Sara Delaney, Eric Footen and Kristine Taylor. Great-nephews and nieces include, Andrea, Gab-rielle, Jeffrey and River; best friends, Greg and Barb Skidmore, and other devoted friends.

Friends and family will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Rebecca Vardiman officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. He will be buried beside his father who in life was his best buddy.

Although plagued by many health problems, Randy was always ready to help in any way he could. He gave of his time and money as if he was the richest man ever. He was one of a kind, dearly loved by family and friends and he will be greatly missed. “Rest well, little brother, your pain is over.”
