Billy Joe Willison Sr. [Gerrardstown]

BILLY JOE WILLISON SR. GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. — Billy Joe Willison Sr., 50, of Gerrardstown, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at his work place as a result of an industrial accident.

Born April 26, 1959, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late John Henry Willison and Edna Kennell Willison Gross.

He was the lead mechanic at Guardian. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and best friend to many.

Billy was an avid hunter and loved to work on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Sue Mason Willison; three sons, Billy Joe Willison Jr., Brian J. Willison and Matthew S. Willison; a daughter, Shana M. Willison; four grandchildren, Brayden J. Willison, Dylan M. Willison, Faith M. Green and Hope N. Green and one on the way; one sister, Virginia L. Dennison of Baltimore, Md.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald K. and Johnny R. Willison.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Brown Funeral Home’s South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Interment will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the chapel.
