TOWSON — Ten hotels in Maryland, including the Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort, were recently awarded the prominent AAA Four Diamond rating for the year 2010.
The Lodging Award recipients were:
• Hilton Baltimore (first year).
• Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel (eighth consecutive year).
• Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center on the Potomac, National Harbor (second consecutive year).
• Hyatt Regency Baltimore (29th consecutive year).
• Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina, Cambridge (seventh consecutive year).
• InterContinental Harbor Court Baltimore (23rd consecutive year).
• Loews Annapolis Hotel (fourth year).
• Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel (22nd consecutive year).
• Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort, Cumberland (ninth consecutive year).
“AAA Four Diamond winners know the language of customer satisfaction as they consistently deliver premier experiences, complete with superior personal service, first-class amenities and impressive surroundings,” said Ragina C. Averella, manager of Public and Government Affairs for AAA Mid-Atlantic.
The 2010 winners received their AAA Four Diamond Award plaques at a luncheon during the 29th Annual Maryland Tourism and Travel Summit Nov. 5 at the Ocean City Convention Center, which featured Gov. Martin O’Malley as guest speaker.
