Employees of Chessie Federal Credit Union participated in the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Awarness Month by wearing pink clothing to work on Oct. 19 and Oct. 30. The program is dedicated to increasing awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer through a nationwide campaign held in October. The American Cancer Society’s National Cancer Information Center provides trained cancer information specialists who are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to offer the comfort of live support and answer questions about cancer, link callers with resources in their communities and provide information on local events.
