Editorial cartoon about young H1N1 victim was in bad taste

This letter is about the cartoon in the Oct. 31 paper by Mike Luckovich.

The mother is telling her child she would not let her child get the swine flu shot. In the next picture the mother is standing by a tombstone with H1N1 victim written on it, saying “I’ll visit tomorrow.”

I feel this cartoon is in very bad taste and should not have been put in the paper.

Deciding to let our children and grandchildren take the H1N1 vaccine is a tough decision. We never know what reaction a child may have to a vaccine.

I do not believe a cartoonist would have the audacity to suggest if a child does not get the vaccine he would die.
