Christopher A. Dougherty [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Christopher A. Dougherty, 25, of Saratoga St., Cumberland, died at his home on Sunday, Nov 8, 2009.

He was born in Cumberland on May 28, 1984, and was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Lucy Wyckoff.

Chris was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church on Washington St., Cumberland. He was employed by Western Maryland Distributing Co. in Cumberland, and was a member of the Good Fellowship Club, Cumberland. His favorite pastime was cooking and watching the Ravens play football.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley (Hannon) Dougherty; his daughter, Skylar, of Cumberland; and his parents, Philip J. Dougherty and Lucy Wyckoff Dougherty, of Cumberland. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, John E. and Clara Dougherty, of Cumberland; his aunts, Mary Dougherty, of Frederick; Maureen Hott and husband Lloyd, of Cumberland, Alice Honeycutt and husband Gregory of Cumberland; and his uncle, George B. Wyckoff and wife Wendy, of Eckhart.

The family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, W.Va., on Tuesday Nov. 10, from 6 until 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 16 Washington St., Cumberland, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Father Edward Chapman and Father James Hannon officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Interment will be private.
