Carolyn Mecham [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Carolyn Mecham, 66, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 25, 1943, in Port Chester, N.Y., Carolyn was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She serving in a number of positions in the church. She was retired from Dept. of the Navy/Veterans Affairs, having worked at their offices in both Washington, D.C. and Salt Lake City, Utah.

She is preceded in death by her parents, August and Helen Jensen, and brother, Rolf.

She is survived by her son Vance Daniel Mecham; her three brothers, James, Andrew and Aaron; and devoted friend, Art.

Friends will be received at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 12205 Gramlich Road, LaVale, on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the church on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
