CUMBERLAND — The Allegany Arts Council has finalized plans for its 2009 Mountain Maryland Artists Studio Tour.
This weekend and next, the cultural organization is presenting the annual event, featuring some of the many visual artists in the Cumberland region. With more than 30 participating artists from Allegany and Garrett counties and nearby West Virginia, the four-day tour promises to be well-attended, as have others in past years.
The tour is free and open to the public, and artwork will be available for purchase. To give everyone enough time to visit as many locations as possible, all of the participating studios will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7 and 8, and again on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 14 and 15.
Residents may pick up a free copy of the 2009 Studio Tour Guidebook at the Allegany Arts Counci, 9 N. Centre St., or by visiting online at www.alleganyartscouncil.org for additional information.
