It’s time to stop ‘pondering’ and decide about Afghanistan

Dear Mr. President,

It comes to my attention you want to “ponder” over whether to send more combat troops to Afghanistan. I wonder if the troops already there ponder over heading to the front or not?

You took this job with the understanding that there were currently two wars going on. Your top military officials have given you the data to support an increase of military personnel.

Your job is to make quick decisions correctly and under stress. Give these folks the additional personnel and supplies they need to get the job done, period. If not, bring them home. Ponder over who you will have your next sporting event with. Ponder over who you will drink your next beer with.

Please, don’t “ponder” over decisions that affect the lives of our military personnel.
