LAVALE — The Blockbuster store in LaVale will close Friday, according to Mike Krampf, director of operations for Capitol Entertainment, Dallas, Texas, which operates the store.
Krampf said the Blockbuster store in Cumberland, at the Queen City Centre, will be unaffected by the move. That location also is owned by Capitol Entertainment.
The LaVale store opened in 2000. Between now and Friday, the store will be selling all of its merchandise, including shelving and fixtures. Rentals that are due after Thursday should be returned to the Cumberland store.
