Park has hunting sites for disabled
ROCKY GAP — A lottery that will allow disabled hunters to hunt for deer in Rocky Gap State Park on the Saturdays during the firearms season will take place Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.
There will be nine hunting sites available.
Before the drawing takes place, hunters must send telephone number, proof of valid Maryland hunting license and proof of a Department of Natural Resources disabled hunting permit to Rocky Gap State Park, 12500 Pleasant Valley Road, Flintstone, MD 21530. To inquire, call (201) 722-1480.
The firearms season is Nov. 28 through Dec. 12. On weekdays, disabled hunters may hunt at these sites on a first-come, first-served basis.
