Kaye O’Neal [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Kaye O’Neal, 66, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at her residence.

Born Oct. 22, 1943, in Cresaptown, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ilda (Shanholtz) Ullery.

Mrs. O’Neal was a homemaker and a C.N.A. for Cumberland Nursing Home. Kaye was a devoted Christian and loved spending every minute with her family. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and most of all spending time with her grandchildren, which she loved dearly.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Robert “Bob” O’Neal; three sons, Robert “Robbie” O’Neal and wife Cindy, Wade O’Neal and wife Julie, and Matt O’Neal and wife Mandie, all of Cumberland; two daughters, Kelly Steckman and husband Kevin, of Cumberland, and Shelly Fitzgerald and husband Jim, of Barton; fourteen grandchildren, Meghan and Chad O’Neal, Donnie and Kris, Shane and Zach Steckman, Alizabeth, Breanna, Brady O’Neal, Karissa, Aaron Fitzgerald, Ashley, Emily, and Hannah O’Neal; three sisters, a special twin sister, Faye Twigg, Wanda Blauch, and Darla Copeland and husband Terry; two brothers, Edward Ullery and wife Barb, and Irvin Ullery and wife Darlene; one brother-in-law, Jim and wife Linda; and numerous nieces and nephews, which she treated as her own.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, scarpellifuneralhomes.comon Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Charlie Riggleman officiating. Friends will be also received from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
