Jean Marie (Hamilton) Lawrence [Fort Ashby]

FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Jean Marie (Hamilton) Lawrence, 79, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at the WMHS-Braddock Campus.

Born Feb. 11, 1930 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Austin and Mildred Virginia (Cheshire) Hamilton.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ashby Lawrence, and her daughter, Diane Fleming.

Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker and belonged to Central Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her stepson, Donald Lawrence and wife Shirley, of LaVale; a stepdaughter, Anna Belle Twigg and husband Jim, of Cresaptown; a brother, David Hamilton, of New York; a sister, Judy Hamilton, of Texas; four grandchildren, Jamie Fleming and wife Amy, Cliff Fleming and wife Kris, Tina Baker and fiancée Eddie Andrews, and Morris Fleming Sr; eight great-grandchildren, Zayden and Angel Fleming, Jacob, Max, and Ariel Fleming, Caitlyn Baker, Morris Fleming Jr., and Isaiah Fleming; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

There will be a private interment in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
