Downtown Ghouley on Saturday evening

CUMBERLAND — The first Halloween Ghouley to be held downtown for people 21 years and older will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The event features costume contests and specials at participating local restaurants and pubs. Costume winners will be announced at 11 p.m.

Mineral school board meets

KEYSER, W.Va. — The Mineral County Board of Education will discuss the naming of facilities at Keyser High School Athletic Complex during its public meeting Monday at 4 p.m. in the Administrative Office at 1 Baker Place.

Connie Sutton is also scheduled to give a presentation on the Mineral County Library Association.

Skype software course at ACM

CUMBERLAND — Skype, the computer software that enables phone calls, instant messages and file sharing over the Internet, will be explained in a continuing education course starting Nov. 9 at Allegany College of Maryland.

A headset with microphone is included in the course, which is taught by Ed Davis, ACM supervisor of user and technical services.

The course meets from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on two consecutive Mondays in the Center for Continuing Education.
