CUMBERLAND — Several streets in South Cumberland will be closed today for the 60th annual Halloween Parade, which begins at 7 p.m.

Virginia Avenue, Grand Avenue, Seymour Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, South Street, East First Street, East Second Street, East Third Street and East Fourth Street are all included in the parade formation areas and route. Race Street will remain open as an emergency route.

Industrial Boulevard westbound will be closed in the area of Virginia Avenue. Messick Road to Williams Road to Willowbrook Road can be used to reach Interstate 68 and Blackiston Avenue to Oldtown Road will detour around the parade formation areas.

No parking will be allowed after 5 p.m. on the streets affected by the parade route.

Buses carrying students and vehicles participating in the parade may move on the streets that form the lineup areas and parade route, all other vehicles are to detour around the lineup areas and parade route. All streets affected by the parade will be shut down at 6:30 p.m.

Children’s costumes will be judged at 5:30 p.m. in Smith Park.
