BANGOR, Pa. — Sean Patrick “Toad Butt” Lewis, 37, of Bangor, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, Pa.

Born April 4, 1972 in Oakland, Md., he is the son of Elsie M. (Ash) Lewis, Oakland and the late Norman S. Lewis Sr. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mary Ash and Samuel and Bessie Lewis.

He was a member of the American Legion Proctor Kildow Post 71, Oakland, the V.F.W. Post 10077, Deer Park and the Hiram Lodge 103 AF & AM Westernport

In addition to his mother he is survived by one son, Robert E. Lewis, Bangor; one daughter, Maria R. Lewis, Bangor; two brothers, Norman Lewis Jr., Sheldon Ill. and Robert Lewis Bettendorf, Iowa; one sister, Norma Lewis, Oakland; one nephew; four nieces; two great-nieces; two special friends, Larry and Karen Labar, Bangor.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes P.A. 26722 Garrett Highway, Accident, on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Services will be held at the Pine Grove Church of the Brethren on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Matthews and the Rev. Gail Hixon officiating.

Interment will be in the Rocky Drean Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by local veterans service organizations
