Eight receive PSC scholarships

KEYSER, W.Va. — Potomac State College of West Virginia University recently announced that the following students have received scholarships for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Katie Carder has received the Potomac State College of WVU Achievement Scholarship. She is a pre-pharmacy major and the daughter of Thomas and Helen Carder of Keyser.

Brian Forster has received the Potomac State College of WVU Achievement Scholarship. He is majoring in biology and the son of Debbie and Jerry Forster of Fort Ashby.

Maverick Nelson has received the Potomac State College of WVU Achievement Scholarship. He is a general studies major and the son of Donnie and Connie Nelson of Elk Garden.

Natalie Patton has received the Potomac State College of WVU Achievement Scholarship. She is an elementary education major and the daughter of Beth and Dean Patton of Ridgeley.

Travis Liller has received the Potomac State College of WVU Achievement Scholarship. He is majoring in civil engineering and the son of Charles Liller Jr. and Stacey Liller of Keyser.

Joshua Long has received the Potomac State College of WVU Achievement Scholarship. He is majoring in civil engineering and the son of Wayne and Melinda Long of Short Gap.

Thomas Shaffer has received the Potomac State College of WVU Mountaineer Scholarship. He is majoring in electrical engineering and the son of Jennifer and Kenneth Shaffer of Elk Garden.

Savanna Watts has received the Potomac State College of WVU Achievement Scholarship. She is majoring in pre-veterinary medicine and the daughter of Kathy and Kent Watts of Burlington.
