Tri-State College Night scheduled

CUMBERLAND — The 42nd Annual Tri-State College Night will be held Oct. 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Allegany College of Maryland gymnasium.

Students and parents can explore various colleges, universities, and career and technical schools as well as branches of the military and their service academies. More than 50 organizations will be represented at this year’s event to help students make solid education and career plans after graduation.

The Allegany County Guidance Counselors Association in partnership with ACM and its Advancement Office are the sponsors.

Four high school students will be awarded scholarships by random drawing. Two $200 scholarships will be awarded to high school juniors and two $500 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors, one of which is for ACM.

Participating institutions include ACM, Alderson-Broaddus College, Bethany College, California University of Pennsylvania, Central Pennsylvania College, Coastal Carolina University, College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Concord University, Davis and Elkins College, Fairmont State University, Frostburg State University, Garrett College, Glenville State College, Grove City College, Hagerstown Community College, Hood College, Indiana Institute of Technology, LaRoche College, Loyola University of Maryland, Marietta College, Mary Baldwin College, McDaniel College, Mountain State University, Mount Aloysius College, Nashville Auto Diesel College, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, Pittsburgh Technical Institute, Point Park University, Potomac State College, Radford University, Randolph-Macon College, Robert Morris University, St. Francis University, Salisbury University, Shenandoah University, Shepherd University, Shippensburg University, Slippery Rock University, St. Mary’s College, St. Vincent College, Stevenson University, Towson University, Trinity University, University of Charleston, University of Mary Washington, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Maryland College Park, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, Vassar College, Washington and Jefferson College, West Liberty University, West Virginia University, WVU Institute of Technology, West Virginia Wesleyan College and Wilson College.
