Gomer, a 5-month-old, tri-color, male hound/shepherd mix, is outgoing and talkative and would do well in an active home, according to officials at the Allegany County Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 716 Furnace St., Cumberland. Adoption hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter will be closed on Monday.
