Boy loses lower leg after hit by car
ST. JAMES (AP) — Parents of an 8-year-old Washington County boy say his left leg has been amputated below the knee after he was hit by a car while riding his bike on a road near his St. James home.
David Greeley’s father, Scott, said the boy also has a skull fracture, a broken jaw, a broken left arm and a fractured right leg.
Meghann Weaver, 21, of Fairplay, has been charged with negligent and reckless driving for the accident last Thursday.
