7/28 - Two injured in Hyndman crash

HYNDMAN, Pa. — Two Mount Savage residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday at state Route 96 and Clarence Street in Hyndman, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Jason Mawhinney, 33, and Selena Mawhinney, 32, were taken to Memorial Hospital following the 7:26 p.m. accident.

Police said Jason Mawhinney was operating a 2009 Ford Escape and traveling westbound when he turned left onto Clarence Street into the path of a 2006 Ford Mustang operated eastbound by Adam Hosselrode of Hyndman. Hosselrode was not injured.

Upon impact, the Mawhinney vehicle overturned and came to rest in the right lane of Clarence Street, police said.
