Louis Griggs volunteers to sew a napkin as Mildred Pyles sews a lap blanket Wednesday morning as the Community Sewing Group members make items for local nursing homes and the Brandenburg Center. The group meets every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on North Smallwood Street in Cumberland. Anyone who likes to sew is welcome to attend.
