Witte named mortgage executive at First United

OAKLAND — Kenneth Witte was recently named vice president and residential loan executive at First United Bank & Trust, according to William B. Grant, chairman of the board and chief executive officer.

“Ken has over 37 years of banking experience. His role as mortgage executive in Garrett County will be to deliver customized mortgage solutions to consumers. Ken’s expertise makes him a tremendous asset to our banking team in Garrett County,” Grant said.

Witte is a member of the Oakland Rotary and where he serves as assistant district governor. He is also the treasurer of the Garrett County Habitat for Humanity.

He resides in Mountain Lake Park with his wife, Cynthia. They have one child. Witte enjoys basketball, golf and camping in his spare time.

Giant Food, Martin’s support Children’s Miracle Network

CARLISLE, Pa. — Giant Food Stores and Martin’s Food Markets once again joined forces with their customers, associates and vendors to support the Children’s Miracle Network, raising $1.8 million to support local children’s hospitals in the Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Baltimore, Washington and Danville /Altoona areas.

“Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our customers, vendors and associates, we are able to make our highest donation to date to help local children who are fighting for good health,” said Sander van der Laan, president and CEO, Giant Food Stores. “With their support, our company has raised $22 million over the years for Children’s Miracle Network to provide the best medical attention and care to our children.”

Giant and Martin’s customers showed their support for CMN with a $1 donation at the checkout from June 15 through June 29. Customers helped to raise $435,681 through the annual in-store campaign.
