Daniel W. Wilt [Bittinger]
BITTINGER — Daniel Wayne Wilt, 48, of Bittinger, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at his residence.
Born Sept. 10, 1961, in Frostburg, he was the son of Martha Elizabeth (Preston) Wilt, of Bittinger and the late Blaine Comas Wilt, who died April 10, 2005.
Besides his mother, he is also survived by two sons, Jesse Daniel Wilt, of Bittinger, and John Wesley Wilt, of McHenry; a daughter, Robin Marie Wilt, of McHenry; a brother, Blaine Wade Wilt and wife Jeannie, of Bittinger; two nephews, Blaine James Wilt and Wade Hunter Wilt, both of Bittinger; one niece, Sarah Beth Wilt, of Berlin, Pa.; and two stepnephews, Trevor Stone Ringer and Devon Richard Rounds, both of Bittinger.
He was employed at Bills Marine Service as a mechanic and previously at Crystal Waters Marina. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his son John. He loved being out in the snow on the tractor and snowblower. He looked forward to going to work everyday. He never missed a day of work, he would even work for someone else on his scheduled days off.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Preston officiating.
Interment will be in the Bittinger Cemetery.
