Oretha W. Kelley [Oakland]

OAKLAND — Oretha W. Kelley of Oakland, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Monday, June 29, 2009. She was 84 years old.

Born Aug. 13, 1924 in Shaffer, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Calvia (White) Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Kelley; and three sons, Michael Kelley, Larry Kelley and Terry Kelley.

She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She attended Lakeside Assembly of God Church and on May 7, 1995 where she gave her heart to the Lord. In 1999 she became a dedicated member of Loch Lynn Church of God where she humbly and joyful served and worshiped her Lord Jesus Christ.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kimberly Johnson and husband Robert of Hellerstown, Pa. and Vicky Kelley of Oakland; one granddaughter, Mrs. Shannon Germain and husband Eric of Oakland; two great-grandchildren,Taylor and Evan Germain; one sister, Mrs. Arlene Mahaffey of Whitehall, Ohio.

The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ivan Ackerman officiating.

Interment will follow in Garrett Memorial Gardens.
