GRANTSVILLE — Garrett College is now accepting applications for the next series of courses geared toward training individuals to obtain a commercial driver’s license.

The training will qualify students for entry level positions as a long-distance driver or driving vehicles locally.

The weekday class will begin July 20 with the weekend class starting Aug. 29. Training for both Class A and Class B will be provided.

The training is all inclusive, offering classroom, yard skills, and over-the-road training.

Financial assistance in the form of government grants and students loans may be available to qualifying individuals.

Training will be held at Mountaintop Truck Driving Institute just north of Interstate 68.
