6/20 - Two Pa. men arrested after traffic stop
MOUNT SAVAGE — Two Somerset County, Pa., men were arrested early Friday during a traffic stop on state Route 36 in the Portertown Road area, according to the Allegany County Bureau of Police.
Michael Roy Lantz, 38, of Ridge Road, Hyndman, was taken into custody on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding arrest warrants on file in Frederick County, Md., for violation of probation.
Ronald Eugene Lepley, 31, of Cumberland Highway, Meyersdale, was charged with driving with license privileges suspended following the 3:35 a.m. stop that was made after Lepley was allegedly clocked driving at 65 miles per hour in a 50-mph zone. Police said syringes were found inside the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Following the arrests, Lantz was jailed at the Allegany County Detention Center on $7,000 bond, including $2,500 bond for the warrant in Frederick County. Lepley was released on his personal recognizance, according to a jail official.
