An early morning fire destroyed this two-story barn Sunday at Leaning Pine Farm on Mile Lane in Mount Savage. The fire was controlled in about 10 minutes by more than 100 volunteer firefighters from 11 fire departments. The total estimated loss was set at $75,000, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office. No one was injured in the blaze, which was reported at 1:19 a.m. The cause and area of origin is still under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office. Responding to the scene were Mount Savage, District 16, Frostburg, Shaft, Corriganville, Eastern Garrett, Ellerslie, Barton, Midland, Rawlings and Wellersburg, Pa., fire departments.
