OAKLAND — Brandon William Roberson, 20, of Swanton, was taken to Garrett Memorial Hospital after he wrecked his car while texting on his cell phone, police said.

Roberson was driving west on state Route 135 west of Sand Flat Road on Sunday at 10 p.m. when he crossed the eastbound lane and struck a culvert.

Southern Garrett Rescue Squad took Roberson to the hospital with minor injuries, the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office said.
