Offices closed, bus in operation
CUMBERLAND — Allegany County government offices will be closed today but bus service will operate.

Smith Park egg hunt Saturday
CUMBERLAND — The South Cumberland Business and Civic Association will sponsor an Easter egg hunt Saturday at 10 a.m. at Smith Park for children 11 and younger.
The 1,000 eggs will include 50 eggs with gold dollar prizes.
Churches join for service
CUMBERLAND — Trinity and Mapleside United Methodist churches will hold a joint Easter service Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Mapleside United Methodist Church, First and Maple streets.
3D archery shoot Saturday
CUMBERLAND — The Cumberland Bowhunters Archery Club will hold an indoor 3D archery shoot on Saturday and April 18. The shoots will start at 6 p.m.

Trial team headed to Final Four
CUMBERLAND — Allegany High School will compete in the mock trial Final Four semifinal competition April 23 at 4 p.m. against Friends School of Baltimore City at the Anne Arundel County Circuit Courthouse in Annapolis.
The winner of that match will advance to the state championships to be held the next morning at the Court of Appeals. The other schools in the Final Four are Severn School, Anne Arundel County and Richard Montgomery, Montgomery County.
This is the fourth year in a row that Allegany has made it to the Final Four and the fifth time in the school’s history.
