Dan’s Mountain property owner can speak for herself

I would like to take this opportunity to tell James E. Walsh to please not speak on my behalf.

I am a resident that owns property adjacent to where windmills could be placed on Dan’s Mountain. My home and property will be surrounded by three to four industrial windmills. I will admit I don’t particularly like the look of industrial windmills. However, I am concerned about my children’s safety due to ice throw, flicker and noise, among other things.

As of now regulations are too loose and further setback distances need to be put in place. I believe the only reason US Windforce LLC would not build a windfarm is because of the bond money the county is asking for. This bond money is to protect the residents of this county so we are not paying to decommission a windmill when US Windforce LLC cannot. I am a concerned resident and would like to see the wind regulations passed.

Furthermore, if James E. Walsh was at any of the previous month’s Planning and Zoning meetings he would also realize other surrounding residents are concerned for their safety and quality of life not just aesthetics.

So here is the real story: James E. Walsh is a paid attorney for US Windforce LLC. Enough said.
