A Cumberland firefighter works at the scene of a woods fire Wednesday afternoon. Crews were dispatched to the Hill Street area of the city shortly after 4 p.m., according to the Allegany County 911 Joint Communications Division. At least two engine companies responded. At about 2:20 p.m., volunteer fire companies were dispatched to a fire in a barn on state Route 495 in the Bittinger area of Garrett County.
